Some of the professionals we work with...
After eight years in the Peruvian Amazon Rain Forest, IQUITOS TRAVEL has created a network of reliable and trustworthy professional service providers. These are a few of our friends, from left to right:
Wilder "Lobo" Palla - Lobo grew in in the village of Puerto Miguel, on the Yarapa River. He is our trusted guide to take you on a deep jungle expedition into the pristine Yarapa River rain forest. Lobo is also the local shaman and knows everything about medicinal plants.
Marlon Ashanga - Marlon grew up in Belén, famous for its jungle market and natural medicine alley, Pasaje Paquito. Marlon will show you around the market, take you on a boat tour of the Itaya River and even to his home, where you will get to meet the neighbors and experience what life in Belén is really like.
Jino Boullosa - Jino is an experienced city and jungle guide who is fluent in English. He is very knowledgeable about Iquitos' history and culture, and will show you the most surprising and unexpected parts of the city as well as the jungle.
Jeannie Botos - Known as 'Jungle Jeannie', our friend from Down Under has built up a reputation as a natural healer and fierce defender of animal rights. Jeannie has her own place on the Momón River, from where we will take you on jungle expeditions as well as regional day trips.
David "Slocum" Hewson - Slocum is a very talented artist, as well as an expert on natural medicine. He is the owner of Amaru Spirit, a healing center on the Itaya River. Slocum has a solid reputation for providing authentic ayahuasca ceremonies with a genuine shaman, as well as a number of other healing rituals.
Gudrun Sperrer - Gudrun is the owner of Pilpintuwasi, the Butterfly Farm and Animal Orphanage in Padre Cocha. Pilpintuwasi is the number one tourist destination in Iquitos. Even TripAdvisor says so!
